The role

Flutter Functions Global Sportsbook & Trading (GST) aims to empower Flutter brands shaping the future of sports betting by helping to drive their success and growth.
With over 400 colleagues working in roles across trading, operations, product, delivery, architecture and engineering, and by partnering closely with more than 1,100 people in the wider global trading and sportsbook community at Flutter, GST's Mission intends to raise the bar to be #1 on all sports; share Flutter's most innovative sportsbook products globally; transform Risk & Trading operations, unleashing the power of data; co-create the next generation sportsbook and build a culture of inclusion, innovation, personal growth and leadership excellence.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving the Inner Source process, focusing on key artifacts and quality promoters and indicators. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure that Group-level guidelines and principles for the global Inner Source approach are not just followed but fully leveraged within the Shared Platforms Operations area. Beyond maintaining standards, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate, playing a pivotal role in refining and evolving the Inner Source practices, shaping the future of how we work and collaborate across the organization.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Champion Inner Source : Lead the implementation and leverage the inner source approach across strategic products, ensuring a collaborative and open development environment.
  • Foster Collaboration : Actively engage and promote the inner source community to foster knowledge sharing and cross-divisional collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management : Effectively manage cross-divisional and cross-disciplinary stakeholders, ensuring alignment and engagement.
  • Drive Change : Assess change impacts and facilitate smooth transitions, ensuring that communication and engagement strategies are effectively in place.
  • Governance and Documentation : Contribute to and maintain a governance framework, including all related documentation, to support the inner source model.
  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and work towards an end-state vision for the inner source model, charting the path for its growth and maturity.
  • Quality Assurance : Foster the quality of code in shared platforms through agreed-upon shared codebase standards and mechanisms.
  • Standards and Tooling : Provide clear guidance on the standards, tools, and automation necessary for teams and divisions to succeed with inner source practices.
  • Research and Optimization: Conduct research and analyze operating models to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the inner source approach.
  • Training and Maturity : Offer training and conduct maturity assessments on tools and processes to ensure effective adoption.
  • Advocate for Best Practices : Uphold and promote best practices and ways of working to drive the further adoption of Shared Platform Products.
  • What we’re looking for
  • Agile Expertise: Proven experience in running Agile projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Good technical knowledge with at least 3 years of experience in software delivery/engineering.
  • Project Management: Preferably, experience managing projects within a technology environment.
  • Influence and Vision: Ability to inspire and influence others toward a common vision or goal.
  • Exceptional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Able to actively listen, provide constructive feedback and help others to consider new perspectives.
  • Driven and Action-Oriented: A results-driven individual with a proactive and energetic approach to work.
  • Relationship Management: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships, with the ability to connect with both business and technical specialists. Build awareness, understanding and positive momentum behind the Group technology strategy, without being in a position to assert authority.
