Role Overview

  • An IT project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects.

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, ensuring that all necessary information is available for prioritization and planning. This includes scope, test cases, and other relevant details.
  • Team Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions to ensure smooth team collaboration and efficient progress.
  • Engineering Project Management: Manage engineering development projects and facilitate sprint releases to deliver high-quality results on time.
  • Sprint Execution: Drive sprint execution through close collaboration with globally scattered teams, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Time Estimation: Guide the team in time estimation practices and facilitate team estimates to ensure accurate resource allocation and task scheduling.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and eliminate impediments, facilitating workflow and ensuring maximum productivity.
  • Team Data Management: Maintain team data in project management software (e.g., JIRA) to support estimates and execution.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience in Information Technology.
  • 2-4 years of working experience in Technology projects (Infrastructure, Industrial Automation, Transportation).
  • Demonstrable expertise in agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
  • Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning.
  • Expert coach on implementing agile Scrum practices.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict development teams' needs.
  • Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics.
  • Passionate commitment to delivering product features on time.
  • Ability to understand and represent both business and technology.
  • Problem-solving mindset and conflict resolution ability.
