Hiscox Europe, which includes Germany, France, Benelux, Iberia and Ireland, is hiring an Agile Practice Lead to be part of the transition to agile ways of working, helping establish and embed the methodology, principles and best practice to build a cohesive Business and Technology change and delivery capability.

  • As part of Europe Technology Team, based in Lisbon, and reporting to the Europe Technology Director, you will be responsible for supporting the teams to improve and adapt a blended delivery approach that works for Hiscox, working closely with key stakeholder across the Europe Business and Technology to continuously improve product, service and programme delivery.
  • *How will you help us? With your experience, skills and competences in Agile technology delivery**
  • - Significant delivery experience in agile on major projects and portfolio transformation programmes of work
  • - Knowledge of the Agile methodology and the benefits to Agile product delivery
  • - Previous knowledge/experience of working with Agile delivery methodologies and a Scrum framework
  • - Strong experience (minimum 8 years) in technology project delivery and Scrum Master role
  • - Experience in coach, trainning and upskilling teams on agile methodology and practices, through working practices
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ensuring confidence in conflict resolution and the ability to tailor own style to the audience
  • - Experience with agile project management and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Miro)
  • - Good written and verbal English communication skills, additional language (German, French, Spanish, or Dutch) is a plus
  • *What we expect from you? To lead our Business and Technology Agile transition**
  • - Collaborate closely with the wider Europe technology and business change teams to embed new ways of working, driving a shift in culture to focus on user-centric design and delivery practices
  • - Guide and support cross-disciplined squads employing agile values, principles and practices to deliver value to our business
  • - Lead the implementation of agile delivery tools and techniques, and support teams throughout the delivery life cycle
  • - Coach and facilitate transition to agile practices through collaborative working practices
  • - Provide hands-on scrum master role in first agile squads to set the foundations value streams approach
  • - Support teams to improve and adapt to a blended delivery approach
  • - Define and improve the adoption of the agile tools and techniques
