This is an on-site/hybrid position located in Lisbon, Portugal (4 then 3 days per week on site).

We are looking for a Senior Scrum Master to support the Group’s continued adoption of Agile and serve as a coach and facilitator.

In this context, your mission will be :

As a Senior Scrum Master, your role extends beyond facilitating typical Agile practices like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog management. You will be the driving force behind the team’s Agile journey, guiding them in the practical application of Agile principles and ensuring clarity around the roles and responsibilities of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters. You will also play a pivotal role in influencing Agile transformation at the organizational level, embodying a deep commitment to Agile values and fully dedicating yourself to the success of the team and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Agile Advocate & Change Agent:

You will champion Agile principles, Software Craftsmanship, and practices such as XP, FDD, and Agile BABOK. Your role will involve consistently promoting the value of Agile methodologies to ensure the team embraces and benefits from them.

- Team & Organizational Transformation:

You will foster strong partnerships across the organization, enabling both teams and stakeholders to experience the full benefits of Agile. You’ll coach teams on adopting Agile principles while ensuring adherence to processes, and you will act as a change agent, driving Agile transformation across the organization.

- Product Owner Support:

You’ll work closely with Product Owners to manage the backlog effectively, ensuring that features are prioritized to maximize value. You will also help Product Owners create actionable, value-driven product development plans.

- Impediment Removal & Problem Solving:

Whether the impediment is technical, organizational, or people-related, you’ll proactively identify and remove blockers to the team’s success. You are hands-on when necessary and take pride in enabling your team to perform at their best.

- Internal Coach & Mentor:

You will coach your team toward becoming fully self-organized and Agile. Beyond your immediate team, you’ll collaborate with other Scrum Masters at Pictet Technologies to share insights and best practices, ensuring Scrum is applied effectively across the organization.

- Continuous Improvement:

You will seize every opportunity to promote learning and implement improvements. You have the ability to discern when to guide the team and when to step back, empowering the team to take ownership of their growth.

  • A solid technical background is essential—you have previously worked as a developer and have a deep understanding of software development and engineering practices.
  • Coaching & Mentoring Experience:

You have substantial experience coaching and mentoring teams, guiding them to continuously improve and achieve high performance.
