We are seeking a skilled
Scrum Master/Project Manager
to facilitate agile delivery for our modernization program to join our team in Portugal. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to Scrum principles and best practices across all sprints, guiding the development team toward successful project outcomes.
- Responsibilities
- Facilitate agile delivery for the modernization program, ensuring all sprints align with Scrum principles and best practices
- Guide and support the development team in effective sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Proactively remove impediments to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and priorities
- Manage sprint backlogs and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
- Encourage built-in quality practices (Definition of Done test strategy alignment, CI/CD discipline, refinement quality) and promote sustainable engineering practices
- Support release planning and readiness, including definition of done, environments and cutover planning where applicable
- Requirements
- Strong understanding of Scrum methodology, agile frameworks and best practices
- Ability to support healthy delivery flow and predictability using appropriate metrics (e.g., Sprint Goal success rate, throughput, cycle time/lead time, WIP) and data-informed improvements
- Experience with Jira/Confluence (or similar) and agile delivery practices (DoR/DoD, refinement techniques, story slicing, value-based prioritization support)
- Experience in facilitating and continuously improving Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective) supporting effective backlog refinement
- Nice to have
- Experience working across different project models (e.g., fixed-price, T&M, product-led)
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
