Job Summary:

Bordata is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Junior BI Developer. This is an entry-level role perfect for someone with a passion for data and business intelligence but no prior professional experience. You’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop your skills in BI tools, data modeling, and reporting while contributing to real-world projects that empower data-driven decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Learn and Develop Reports:
• Assist in designing and developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Create visually appealing and user-friendly reports under the guidance of senior developers.

• 2. Support Data Modeling:
• Help build and optimize semantic models (e.g., Power BI datasets) to support reporting and analytics.
• Learn to define relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

• 3. Data Integration:
• Assist in connecting to various data sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) and integrating data into BI tools.
• Gain exposure to basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analysis.

• 4. Collaborate with Stakeholders:
• Work with business users to understand their needs and assist in translating them into technical solutions.
• Provide support to end-users on how to effectively use BI tools and reports

• 5. Performance Optimization:
• Learn to optimize the performance of reports, dashboards, and data models for efficient data retrieval.

• 6. Documentation:
• Assist in documenting data models, report specifications, and development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 1. Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 2. Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of data concepts (e.g., databases, tables, relationships).
• Familiarity with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas) is a plus.
• Strong interest in learning Power BI and other BI tools.
• Willingness to learn SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Curiosity about data visualization and business intelligence concepts.

• 3. Analytical Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.

• 4. Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A good level of English (written and spoken) to work effectively in an international or multilingual environment.

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Academic projects or coursework related to data analysis, databases, or programming.
• Familiarity with basic programming concepts (e.g., Python, R) is a plus but not required.
• Interest in data visualization and business intelligence.
