Data Analyst

Overview:

The Production Support Data Analyst is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data within the enterprise data warehouse. This position will work closely with IT teams to support and enhance the data warehouse architecture at Sompo International, which is essential for assessing the organization’s operational performance.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies within the enterprise data warehouse.
• Create source-to-target mapping (STM) documentation to integrate new application data elements.
• Load STM documents from source systems into the data warehouse.
• Work alongside the ETL team to ensure alignment between STM specifications and ETL code requirements.
• Validate ETL code to confirm compliance with STM guidelines.
• Conduct data validation to ensure smooth and accurate data transfer across the warehouse architecture.
• Assist reporting teams in investigating and resolving inconsistencies between the data warehouse and source applications.

• Technical Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis within an enterprise data warehouse setting.
• 2+ years of domain expertise in Policy & Claims Insurance.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and Business Intelligence (BI) architectures.
• Experience in creating and optimizing semantic layer reporting views.
• Ability to lead data discovery sessions with business experts.
• Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, DB2, and experience in generating DDL scripts.
• Understanding of data modeling principles.
• Preferred experience with Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Claims Center, SAP FS-RI, and SAP FS-CD.

• General Qualifications:

• Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
