Function Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Data Analyst - Finance, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate commission payouts for a high-performing sales organization. You'll manage everything from commission calculations and reporting to troubleshooting and process improvements, all while collaborating closely with our Sales, Finance and Data teams. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in data engineering and in-depth knowledge of commission structures, ensuring accurate, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Administration

• What you'll do
• Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day commission administration resulting in accurate and timely commission payments.
• Create, validate and audit monthly reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of commissions crediting and payout results.
• Respond to compensation related inquiries from the Sales Team in an effective and timely manner.
• Perform configuration, testing and other support activities related to plan, quota, and policy changes
• Manage Sales Promotion, bonus and SPIFF payments.
• Prepare key monthly commission reconciliation reports including reporting of monthly commission and sales attainment metrics.

• Data Engineering And Modelling
• Design and implement scalable solutions for the commission’s calculator, ensuring accurate processing of complex commission structures.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows to support real-time and batch processing of commission data.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, such as Salesforce, Snowflake, and legacy systems, to ensure seamless commission calculations.
• Develop and maintain data models that support the commission engine’s requirements.

• Testing And Validation
• Develop rigorous testing frameworks to validate the accuracy of commissions calculations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve calculation and/or data errors.
• Perform QA and troubleshoot discrepancies in commission results, implementing fixes as needed.
• Governance and Collaboration:
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards in all processes.
• Create comprehensive documentation for the commission’s calculator, including workflows, data models, and calculation logic.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Data teams to understand commission structures and business requirements.
• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver reporting solutions that provide clear visibility into commissions calculations and outcomes.

• Who You Are
• Education: University educated in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Commissions: 3+ years' experience in commission processing or business/finance analyst function for a high growth sales team, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
• PowerBI: Advanced expertise in PowerBI is essential, including experience with DAX, building automated reports, and creating complex, data-driven dashboards.
• SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience working with large datasets in a cloud-based environment (Snowflake).
