The Role
As a Data Analyst Intern, you’ll work closely with our analytics and strategic teams, collecting and examining environmental data, applying Python-based tools to uncover trends, and crafting compelling visualizations that drive effective climate adaptation strategies. You'll enjoy the freedom to propose creative data analytics approaches and generate actionable insights that help shape climate policies and develop state-of-the-art risk assessment tools.

- You will be responsible for:
- Implementing innovative data analytics frameworks that account for future climate scenarios to conduct climate vulnerability analyses and improve adaptation efforts.
- Collecting data from environmental datasets to perform climate resilience assessments.
- Performing comprehensive analyses to identify patterns, trends and correlations using statistical methods and Python libraries and tools.
- Creating visualizations to communicate assessment results and conclusions effectively.
- Participating in strategic projects that influence the definition of adaptation actions.
- Documenting findings and conclusions through structured reports.
- Supporting the development of data visualization platforms and tools.
- Your profile:
- A strong background in Data Analytics, Data Engineering or any related field that provides a solid foundation for the role's responsibilities.
- Proven practical experience working with data analytics or data engineering in previous positions or personal projects.
- Proficiency with Python libraries and tools (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, NumPy, Plotly, Pandas) to explore, transform and load datasets and develop analyses.
- A proactive and resourceful attitude to engage with stakeholders in obtaining new datasets.
- Comfort in obtaining data from API sources and working with Git for version control.
- Excellent capacity to communicate complex data insights verbally and in writing in Portuguese and English.
- Experience using GIS or GeoPandas for geospatial data analysis is a plus.
