- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- +3 years of experience in the role
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining secure and efficient data pipelines using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure SQL
- Strong programming skills and orientation in languages such as PySpark and SQL
- Design, implement and optimise processes in SQL, functions, stored procedures to meet data analysis and processing needs
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists and other data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity
- Implement BI modelling solutions to support data-driven decision making
- Monitor and improve the performance of ETL and ELT data transformation processes
- Experience in projects with new data architectures geared towards the Cloud and supported by systems such as Lakehouses
- Following the good practices defined for each technology and a critical sense for improvement
- Sense of responsibility in responding to teams and hierarchies
- Consultancy-orientated attitude
- WE ALSO VALUE
- Knowledge of other technologies such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, more geared towards on-premise systems.
- Other technologies adjacent to data such as Azure Logic Apps, Functons, Key Vault, Log analtycs, etc. are highly valued
- Ability to analyse project needs from a technical perspective
- Implementation of other non-engineering activities such as modelling and visualisations
- Knowledge of PowerBI (semantic modelling and DAX) is highly valued
- Knowledge of other technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow or other Cloud Providers is valued
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
