Working Model: Hybrid / 60% Remote and 40% Presential

Location: Lisbon, Portugal / Candidates for this position must already be located in Portugal

Language Requirements: Fluent Portuguese / English B2

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer with Matillion skills to join our team!

  • General Expertise
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to work with complex datasets, combining technical tools with an understanding of the business context.
  • In-depth and broad knowledge of data domains, backed by industry experience.
  • Effective communication skills, including documenting design decisions, build and test procedures, and maintenance processes.
  • Confident presentation skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical lead: coach and mentor data engineers, promote best practices, remove technical roadblocks during project delivery, and support Run & Support teams with critical issues and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Clear and proactive communication.
  • Strong documentation skills (SDD/TDD knowledge).
  • Adherence to core standards and tool-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams.
  • Team management experience.
  • Understanding of project finances and budgeting.
  • Ability to estimate, design, build, and implement data pipelines based on business requirements and use cases.
