We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our Client's team under a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Data Modeling & Engineering
  • Design and maintain semantic models (star / snowflake schemas) optimized for analytics and reporting
  • Build and optimize ETL / ELT pipelines from multiple data sources
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across BI solutions
  • Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and governance standards
  • Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions
  • Performance & Optimization
  • Optimize SQL queries, data models, and report performance for large-scale datasets
  • Monitor and tune BI workloads in cloud and on-prem environments
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with business users to understand KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product teams
  • Provide guidance and best practices to analysts and report developers
  • Governance & Best Practices
  • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and documentation
  • Support data lineage, metadata management, and auditability
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements
  • Required Qualifications :
  • Strong SQL skills (query optimization, indexing, complex joins)
  • Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, SQL Server)
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (semantic models, DAX, DirectQuery, Premium)
  • Understanding of ETL / ELT tools (ADF, Airflow, dbt, SSIS, Fivetran, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques (Kimball, dimensional modeling)
  • Ability to translate business questions into data models and KPIs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset
  • English proficiency at minimum B2 level
  • Nice to Have :
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Familiarity with Python for data processing or automation
  • Experience with DevOps / CI / CD for BI (Git, deployment pipelines)
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks
