Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cloud/DevOps Senior Architect to join our team at IRIUM Portugal. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud strategy and implementation.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to lead the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions. You will be working closely with our development, operations, and security teams to create a seamless CI/CD pipeline, automate operational processes, and support the transition to a cloud-native architecture.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions.
• Lead initiatives to improve agility, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to create a seamless CI/CD pipeline.
• Automate operational processes and support the transition to a cloud-native architecture.
• Leverage your expertise in cloud services, cloud-native architecture principles, DevOps practices, and software development lifecycles to drive business success.

• Requirements:
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as cloud design patterns and strategies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and transformation patterns.
• Deep knowledge of container and container orchestration services (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure as code and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane).
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Platform Engineering principles and tooling (e.g., Backstage).
• Deep knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with observability principles and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
