We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the maintenance of a critical application and contribute to cloud-based development initiatives.

• Requirements
• Proven experience with core AWS services.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, ideally within large-scale AWS environments.
• Expertise in building scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with the AWS SDK (Boto3).
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Solid experience applying DevOps principles, including automation and operational tooling, with a focus on best practices for infrastructure and software deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and best practices. Preferred tools: Terraform, Crossplane, and CloudFormation.
• AWS certifications at Associate (Developer/Operations) or Professional (DevOps Engineer) level are desirable but not mandatory if equivalent knowledge can be demonstrated.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch.
• Practical experience with distributed version control systems such as Git, AWS CodeCommit, or equivalents.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Amazon ECS.

• Responsibilities
• Design and develop cloud-native distributed systems, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Integrate with external SaaS platforms, including: VMware vRealize Automation, CloudHealth, PrismaCloud, VMware, ServiceNow, and Crossplane.
• Contribute to quality assurance through code reviews, pair programming, and team review sessions.
• Collaborate on building custom tools and automation using Python and Go in a cloud-based environment.
• Participate in planning and estimating user stories in collaboration with the Customer IT Architect.
• Implement platform features according to user stories and defined quality standards.
• Proactively suggest improvements to simplify processes and increase value delivery.
• Contribute to the development of monitoring and alerting for newly delivered features.
• Review and provide feedback on code delivered by other DevOps engineers.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
• Optimize existing AWS automation to improve system performance.
• Define and execute testing strategies, including writing test cases and automation scripts.
