We are currently seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact project within the insurance sector, focused on cloud-native architecture and infrastructure automation.

100% Remote within Portugal OR Hybrid (50%) from Porto, Lisbon, or Fundão .

Remote work outside Portugal is not allowed. Only candidates with the right to work in Portugal will be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and build cloud-native distributed systems , microservices , and serverless architectures .
- Integrate external SaaS solutions (e.g., Vmware , ServiceNow , PrismaCloud , Crossplane ).
- Automate infrastructure using Python , Go , and AWS SDK (Boto3) .
- Participate in code reviews , pair programming , and team retrospectives .
- Estimate and deliver User Stories in collaboration with Customer IT Architects.
- Enhance platform features and automate monitoring and alerting processes.
- Develop and deploy scalable, secure, fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Improve performance of existing AWS automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
- Define and execute automated test scenarios for high-quality deliverables.

Must-Have Skills :

- 6–8 years of experience in DevOps roles.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services , networking , and cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Proficient in Python (and preferably Go ).
- Deep understanding of the Linux operating system .
- Practical experience with Docker , ECS , and CI / CD pipelines.
- Familiar with Git , AWS CodeCommit , and CloudWatch .
- Strong skills with IaC tools (Terraform preferred, also Crossplane or CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana .
- Familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies.
- AWS certifications (Associate or Professional level) are highly valued.
