We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) for a hybrid project.
Responsibilities:
- Working in the context of autonomous vehicles you will define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision of our system to ensure an ideal fit to its intended purpose;
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems;
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices;
- Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security;
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues;
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements;
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs;
- You will validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives and elaborate on system architecture;
- You are collaborating with various roles and teams to align on architecture topics and evolve the overall product landscape;
- You will plan and design service ecosystems for our future trucks, using agile methodologies and being responsible for integral parts of our technical roadmap;
- Advise your colleagues and other teams on all questions around cloud system architecture in the autonomous vehicle domain and work together on continuously improving the architecture, services and processes;
- Take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, searching for innovative and pragmatic solutions. You are a result-oriented individual.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
- Minimum of 5 year of professional experience in the field of software engineering, IT architecture or comparable qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or comparable job expertise;
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role;
- Experience in individual software development and the necessary tools and infrastructure such as network and equipment;
- Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of complex software solutions in an international context;
- Has an Agile and DevSecOps mindset;
- Solid experience with Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles as well as common software design patterns. Emphasis on quality, maintainability and usability;
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git;
- Experience with SAFe framework is a plus;
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus;
- Proficient knowledge of cloud-based services and tools, especially AWS;
- Good understanding of cloud paradigms such as Infrastructure-as-Code, PaaS, alerting and monitoring;
- AWS Certificate Associate Level or higher;
- Confident handling of DevOps principles and CI/CD should not cause you any problems;
- Sound Knowledge of Python (Flask) is mandatory;
- Knowledge of a programming language (preference for Java) and proven software development skills;
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken;
- High level of self-organization and sense of ownership;
- Proactive in communicating and taking action;
