About the Role:
Unite Desktop develops and operates Intermedia’s primary customer-facing UCaaS application (web + Electron desktop). This is a high-impact production environment with global users and strict reliability expectations.

We are looking for a deeply hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer (Team Lead) who will take full technical ownership of CI/CD and infrastructure for the Unite Desktop domain. This role combines senior-level engineering execution (90%) with technical leadership (10%), including guiding one DevOps engineer and driving infrastructure direction for the team.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a modernization and ownership role.

What you will be doing:
· Redesign and modernize existing CI/CD pipelines for scalability, speed, and resilience
· Eliminate manual steps and reduce operational risk through automation
· Own Azure-based infrastructure lifecycle (design, improvements, hardening)
· Improve deployment patterns, rollback strategies, and release orchestration
· Implement infrastructure best practices and enforce consistency

· Lead infrastructure-related incident response and technical recovery efforts
· Conduct root cause analysis and drive systemic improvements
· Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability strategy
· Proactively reduce operational toil and failure domains
· Provide technical mentorship and direction to one DevOps engineer
· Coordinate DevOps priorities and ensure delivery alignment
· Act as the senior infrastructure partner to DEV and QA teams
· Influence engineering teams toward better build, release, and operational practices

What you will bring to the role:

· 5+ years in DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering
· Proven experience modernizing and scaling CI/CD pipelines
· Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI systems
· Deep understanding of deployment patterns and release engineering
· Strong Linux and Windows systems knowledge
· Experience operating production workloads in Azure or other cloud environments
· Strong scripting and automation capability (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
· Experience with configuration management (Ansible preferred)
· Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S)
· Demonstrated ownership of production systems
· Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
· Strong production incident troubleshooting skills

Bonus Skills:
· Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
· Experience reducing deployment cycle time and failure rate
· Experience with distributed systems or high-availability architectures
· Experience troubleshooting complex web application errors
