Project Manager

Security Clearance: NATO Cosmic Top Secret Required

Location: Den Haag - Netherlands

  • Duties
  • Manage, monitor, and control the cost, scope, and schedule of projects to successfully deliver Cybersecurity Capabilities to NATO.
  • Coordinate contributions from various NATO stakeholders and industry representatives to ensure successful capability delivery.
  • Develop realistic and achievable project plans, presenting them to senior executives and governance bodies for approval.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of NSIP projects, including major Cyber Security procurement initiatives.
  • Identify, plan, request, and manage resource deployment to meet project milestones, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Define, execute, and ensure the successful completion of projects, including preparing proposals and contributing to source selections based on the defined procurement strategy.
  • Align project approaches with the Projects Portfolio Manager in adherence to agency processes.
  • Monitor and control project progress and risks to ensure budget and timeline compliance.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership, senior executives, and NATO committees.
  • Understand customer requirements, analyze collected data, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Implement actions to increase project confidence and mitigate risks to achieve deliverables in terms of scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Provide effective leadership to project teams and take necessary actions when performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices within the NCI Agency.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Management, or related fields. Equivalent experience of 12 years may compensate for the lack of a university degree.
  • Formal project management training such as PRINCE2, PMI PMP, or DAWIA Program Management Level II.
  • Proven experience engaging stakeholders at an enterprise level, understanding their needs, and providing constructive solutions.
  • Significant experience in developing Statements of Work (SoW) for competitive industry bidding, including technical and non-technical requirements.
  • Proactive attitude in building and maintaining stakeholder trust.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with effective briefing capabilities.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale Cybersecurity or ICT projects.
