  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth reverse engineering to uncover potential security breaches using both static and dynamic analysis methods.
  • Thoroughly document any detected security issues, highlighting suspicious code and providing clear technical evidence.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure the removal of harmful extensions
  • Analyze new and emerging threat patterns within browser extensions and communicate insights with the wider team to keep everyone aligned.
  • Serve as a technical expert, supporting the team with code analysis, grooming sessions, and security consultation.
  • Develop detection rules and use them to scan for malicious patterns at scale.
  • Propose improvements in automation and workflows to enhance threat identification and response processes.
  • What You Bring to the Table:
  • Strong development background with expert-level skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and Angular.
  • Solid understanding of Node.js and Webpack, especially in extension-related environments.
  • Background or interest in Cybersecurity is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to perform code reverse engineering and debugging, particularly across front-end tech stacks.
  • Deep familiarity with complex JavaScript concepts, such as:
  • Experience with JSON, jQuery UI, Bootstrap, AJAX, and older frameworks like AngularJS.
  • Hands-on experience performing SAST and DAST for web apps, identifying vulnerabilities, and offering effective remediation strategies.
  • Strong technical writing skills, capable of delivering clear, actionable security reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
