Brightstuff Lda is a product development company and a strategic partner to Barix AG - A Swiss company focused on state-of-the-art IP based communication, audio and control.

We are based in Oiã, Aveiro, Portugal and are opening a position for an IT/Cybersecurity professional.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity/IT expert with strong development/product management background.

Your job in this position will be to consult our engineering team on best practices in product development, challenge security of the products, and, together with our CTO, architect secure system solutions (from cloud to embedded device).

Furthermore, your responsibility will cover the cyber safety of all operational IT infrastructure, as well as handling day-to-day tasks like adding users, managing servers, and ensuring our infrastructure is up to date.

We are looking for a senior with experience in both engineering and operations, preferably with a strong academic background. We are offering a stable, full-time contract with great benefits (Health Insurance, Meal Allowance, etc).

• Job Summary:
• Work in team with CTO and software engineering to define secure products and services
• Improve and report on our current infrastructure;
• General cybersecurity tasks;
• Providing reports, advises and training to colleagues and management on important security measures to take;
• Offer input on new products and help our development department create modern security architectures;
• Analyze and provide feedback on existing products and systems and where we should improve them security-wise;
• Manage networks, servers and company passwords, firewalls, etc;

• Requirements:
• University degree in IT with specialization in Security (or similar);
• We value certifications in the area (CompTIA, CISSP, CNCS, etc);
• Available for long-term employment;
• Available to work in Oiã, Aveiro (some remote work is possible);
• Some travel to Switzerland (1/quarter) may be necessary
• Great proficiency in English
