About KWAN
We connect IT professionals with projects that match their skills, professional experience, and goals.We're currently hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer based in one of this cities in Portugal (Lisboa, Porto, Viseu, or Coimbra - Portugal).

  • What you’ll do:
  • Support the design and review of secure system architectures
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for new and existing projects
  • Perform system security testing and vulnerability analysis
  • Ensure alignment with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, development, and compliance teams
  • Advocate for security best practices across the software/system lifecycle
  • Contribute to a security-driven culture with a shared mission to protect and improve lives through technology
  • What we are looking for:
  • Academic background in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of:
  • Secure software development principles
  • Security architecture concepts
  • Security design best practices
  • Hands-on or academic experience with:
  • Security risk assessments
  • Threat modeling
  • Security architecture reviews
  • System security testing
  • Vulnerability assessments
  • Familiarity with security standards/frameworks (a plus):
  • ISO 27001, ISO 21434, ISA/IEC 62443
  • NIST Cyber Security Framework
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to grow professionally
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
