Our Identity Protection product detects and prevents- based threats by continuously monitoring credentials, privileges, and activity across cloud and SaaS systems. About the role. We’re looking for a Senior or Principal Software Engineer with experience building backend systems for security or infrastructure products. This is a full-time , hands-on engineering role focused on designing and developing SlashID’s Identity Protection platform. As an engineer at SlashID, you will: Design, build, and maintain- performance backend services for- time identity threat detection and response pipelines Develop and scale infrastructure that processes identity data and security events from multiple cloud environments Implement systems to track, correlate, and analyze activity across credentials, tokens, permissions, and roles Define detection logic, enforce policy controls, and prevent misconfigurations Create monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that provide deep visibility into service health and user activity Contribute to technical architecture decisions and write clear design documentation Take part in code reviews and- call rotations Partner with frontend engineers to expose backend capabilities in the SlashID Console Write- facing and- facing documentation as needed. You will use: Go (Golang) GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Neo4j BigQuery PostgreSQL and MySQL Redis Docker Terraform. You are a good fit if you: Want to build great products, and not just backend features Have experience building scalable, secure backend systems in production environments Have a strong understanding of- native architecture and distributed systems Have worked on- focused products, such as identity, access control, threat detection, or SIEMs Have experience with Neo4j or other graph databases Have a deep understanding of application security, including authentication, authorization, and secrets management Are comfortable building data pipelines and services that process large volumes of events in- real time Care about engineering best practices, test coverage, observability, and performance optimization Work well in- paced environments with a high degree of autonomy Are thoughtful in code and communication, with attention to user and developer experience Are confident writing- quality Go code (or are comfortable picking it up quickly).
