About The Role As a CyberSecurity Engineer , you will be part of our growing team at Preh Portugal (Trofa), safeguarding our innovative automotive technologies and international operations. You’ll work in a dynamic, global environment, applying cutting-edge tools and practices to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems.

  • The Challenges In Front Of You
  • Analyze security requirements across multiple Preh locations.
  • Configure, install, and optimize security systems.
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Develop automation scripts to manage and track incidents.
  • Investigate intrusion attempts, conduct forensic analyses, and coordinate incident responses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and processes to enhance security posture.
  • Test security solutions against industry-standard criteria.
  • Deliver clear technical reports and formal documentation of findings.
  • Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies.
  • Recommend updates to align with evolving legal, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • What You Bring To The Table You're more than your resume — you're proactive, analytical, and motivated to create secure environments. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring :
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or higher in an Information Security-related field.
  • At least 2 / 3 years of experience in a similar position or another information security role.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
  • Good understanding of network protocols, design, and operations.
  • Familiarity with security principles, techniques, and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls, SIEM, IDS / IPS, antivirus, DLP, and sandboxing solutions.
  • Experience enforcing hardening practices and security benchmarks.
  • Scripting skills (bash, Python, Perl, or similar).
  • Security certifications (e.g., GCIH, CISSP, GSEC) are a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in English.
