As an Associate Data Scientist in our Tech Hub in Portugal, you will be at the forefront of innovation at our company and engage with stakeholders across various business units to integrate artificial intelligence as a pivotal support tool across our entire value chain, spanning from content processing to monetization. In this position, you will take on an important role within your Scrum team focusing on the development, adjustment, and monitoring of Machine Learning Models, as well as on the exploration of new developments in research and the market.

• *What you can expect in this role**:

• - You will work on our state-of-the-art AI / ML cloud platform with over 300GB of data processed daily and with frameworks like MetaFlow and MLflow on topics ranging from classical machine learning in big data environments to NLP and video mining
• - You will have the chance to perform advanced data analysis with SQL and Apache Spark on distributed systems and use the gained insights to enable data driven decision making
• - Teamwork and your development are always at the top of our agenda - you will work closely with our experienced team and receive the coaching you need to develop further
• *Your essential experience and education**:

• - You have a university degree in data science, mathematics, statistics or in a comparable field with (very) good grades
• - You have already gained practical experience in data science and machine learning, NLP and/or Computer Vision would be a plus
• - Your Python skills are outstanding, as well as your theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms
• - Ideally, you have experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) and ML-Ops tools such as MetaFlow and MLflow
• - Enjoy working in an agile team setup while showcasing an exceptional willingness to learn
• - Fluent in English (Portuguese and/ or German language proficiency is a plus)
