Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our client in Lisbon, one of the most important private banks in Portugal. The bank is undergoing an ambitious digital transformation, focusing on AI and machine learning.

• About the Role:
• You will work with a talented team of Data Scientists, Data and ML Engineers, and Business Translators to improve the bank's data usage at a large scale and in all core functions.
• Your primary focus will be on tailoring products and services to customers, promoting digital engagement, increasing customer satisfaction, risk assessment, fraud detection, AML, and operational efficiency.

• Responsibilities:
• Combine deep data and analytical skills with strong business acumen to solve business problems by understanding, preparing, and analyzing data to predict emerging trends and provide recommendations to optimize business results.
• Develop and deploy models in cloud environments like GCP, Azure, or AWS, handling large datasets and applying DS techniques to tackle dimensionality reduction, leakage, overfitting, etc.
• Work as an effective team player in an integrated value chain of Data scientists, Data and ML Engineers, and Business Translators to ensure capacity to deliver AI solutions at full industrial scale.
