In practice, your day-to-day

As a Data Scientist, you will produce and adapt data analysis models and tools, develop and improve data quality controls to help standardization of processes and analysis. You will implement notebooks developed by the data science team in our engines, together with the developers team, and ensure high-level performance and reusability of the engines.

• In that respect, you will:
• * Use Python to develop, test, and deploy models.
• Ensure high level of code optimization (RAM, cores, any IT resource).
• Run our python-based analytical engines (Direct marketing, inbound marketing, Search) on a regular basis (monthly, weekly, daily) to serve countries and automate these run phases.
• Ensure high quality of delivery, in both data extractions, data quality checks, run performance.
• Use statistical methods to show significance of results.
• Obtain business understanding to embed analysis into business context.
• Present results to stakeholders.
• Follow Agile methodology to deliver as a team to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Help the team to grow by sharing your knowledge and finding best practices.

• Welcome to BNP Paribas Personal Finance, where you will integrate the Analytics Hub, an innovative and creative team based in Lisbon and Porto. In both locations we offer a hybrid work model.
• You will report hierarchically to the Team Leader. The marketing side of the Hub has 3 mid-sized teams (Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Python developers), working together on complex challenges.
• The team is new and everyone is growing together. You'll be surrounded by more than 30 colleagues working in the same field as you, sharing ideas and experiences.

• Are you the one we are looking for?
• Do you have a Degree in Data Science, AI, IT, Mathematics, or similar fields?
• Do you have at least 2 years of experience in the field?
• Do you demonstrate strong data analysis, machine learning, and statistical skills?
• Do you have knowledge on how to work with data, including databases, ETL processes, visualization?
• Do you possess good skills in communication, collaboration, adaptability and initiative spirit, high focus on delivery, with a detail-oriented mindset?
• Are you fluent in oral and written English?
• Are you open for occasional travel in Europe?
• Optionally, do you know good development practices, versioning systems and CI/CD pipelines?
