  • About the role

As a Senior Data Scientist in a team lead capacity, you will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists and ML engineers in the design and delivery of high-impact AI-driven products. Your mission will include translating business needs into machine learning solutions, guiding the team technically, and ensuring models are built, deployed, and optimized effectively in a production setting. This role combines hands-on development with people management, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Tech stack

  • You’ll be working within the Python machine learning ecosystem and applying MLOps principles for scalable deployment. Projects may also leverage deep learning frameworks, cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, Databricks), and Big Data processing tools such as Spark or PySpark.
  • What will you do
  • Lead a team of 5–7 data scientists and ML engineers, providing both technical and strategic guidance.
  • Translate product requirements into machine learning initiatives that maximize business value.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced feature engineering.
  • Oversee model selection, tuning, experimentation, and evaluation.
  • Manage the full development lifecycle of AI features, from prototyping to deployment and performance monitoring.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, mentorship, and best practices within the team.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables while driving innovation and maintaining focus on real-world impact.
  • Ideally you bring
  • Proven experience managing or leading a team in a data science or ML environment.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning theory and hands-on experience deploying models to production.
  • Experience with MLOps frameworks and workflows.
  • Strong coding background in Python and solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with deep learning architectures and frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Full fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • (Nice to have) Experience working with Big Data tools such as Spark or PySpark in cloud environments like Azure or Databricks.
  • (Nice to have) Background in pricing optimization or time-series forecasting.
  • (Nice to have) Familiarity with data science applications in high-volume transactional environments.
