- Experience with Linux environments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- You will be involved in various +ATLANTIC R&D activities where AI and Data Science are applied to address urban, climate, and weather-related challenges. For the DATA SCIENTIST & GESOSPATIAL PROGRAMMER positions, this includes:
- Designing and developing software technology using geospatial data and models, including creating methods, algorithms, models, and solution implementation code in Python.
- Utilising statistics and machine learning libraries and approaches for data-driven solutions, with a special focus on climate applications.
- Develop and implement automatic diagnostic systems on geospatial data.
- Compiling geospatial data and developing prototype statistical and Machine Learning models for predicting climate and weather parameters (e.g., temperature, wind, precipitation), meteo-oceanographic parameters (e.g., water temperature, wave conditions), and environmental parameters (e.g., air quality).
- Validating the performance of predictive models based on real climate observation data, adhering to performance requirements, and implementing models in production.
- Implementation and optimization of algorithms for the collection and processing of geospatial data, as well as the maintenance of operational applications.
- Creating innovative solutions aimed at solving real-world problems related to environmental monitoring and adaptation to climate change.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals.
