About us:

Sybilion builds AI-driven market forecasting for process industries (chemicals, packaging, pulp & paper, textiles, broader manufacturing). We help procurement, supply-chain, and commercial teams make confident buy/sell decisions with clear, defensible signals.

We’re hiring a Consultant who blends management consulting rigor with hands-on data science. You’ll support pre-sales (discovery, PoCs, demos) and own client delivery (insights, stakeholder management, account growth). High-impact, hybrid role in Porto working closely with founders.

  • What you'll do:
  • Partner with sales on discovery, problem framing, ROI hypotheses, and PoC design.
  • Build exec-ready materials (decks, one-pagers) and support live demos & Q&A.
  • Lead day-to-day delivery: weekly standups, risks, timelines, and value tracking.
  • Get hands-on in Python (pandas/NumPy; notebooks) for EDA and forecast sanity checks.
  • Translate model outputs into clear business recommendations for procurement/S&OP/pricing.
  • Feed client feedback into product templates, dashboards, and playbooks.
  • Who we're looking for:
  • Technical/analytical foundation: You understand supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, and ideally time-series forecasting—enough to grasp the problem space and evaluate solution trade-offs.
  • 100% professionalism & reliability: You operate with polish, precision, and follow-through—crucial for our conservative enterprise clients.
  • A real consultant: Smart, curious, and motivated to advise and unblock people. You solve the business problem and, when needed, the human one (stakeholder alignment, team composition, finding champions, change management, power dynamics).
  • Must-haves:
  • 3–7 years in management consulting (MBB/Big 4/boutique) or client-facing data/analytics consulting.
  • Practical Python skills (pandas/NumPy; able to read/extend notebooks; comfort with time-series basics).
  • Business fluency in procurement, supply chain, pricing, or S&OP.
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management across C-suite to analyst.
  • English fluency; based in/willing to relocate to Porto (hybrid).
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience in process industries: chemicals, packaging, pulp & paper, textiles, or broader manufacturing.
  • SQL; familiarity with Snowflake/BigQuery, dbt, Jupyter; basic cloud (AWS/GCP).
  • Forecasting know-how (ARIMA/ETS/Prophet/ML) and metrics (MAPE, sMAPE, WAPE).
  • Additional languages (Portuguese, German, Spanish).
