We’re hiring an experienced Data Scientist & Analytics Specialist to join our agile data team. If you're driven by solving real business problems with data, experimentation, and machine learning, this role is for you.

What do you need to be a SMART Data Scientist?

- 2+ years of commercial experience using data science and analytics to drive business decisions

- Proficiency with SQL and Python

- Experience working with tools such as R, AWS Athena, and cloud data platforms

- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to work with complex datasets and extract clear, practical insights

- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests or evaluating product features through front-end data

- Ability to distill and communicate complex analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership

- Expertise in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire

- Solid presentation and communication skills (e.g., creating impactful slides with PowerPoint)

- Familiarity with predictive modeling techniques, including parametric (e.g., logistic regression) and non-parametric (e.g., random forests, neural nets), plus clustering and other ML techniques

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken

What will your role at SMART be?

- Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to solve problems through data

- Design and analyze A/B tests to inform product development and UX decisions

- Build predictive models and statistical analyses to uncover insights and forecast trends

- Communicate findings in a clear and actionable way, adapting messaging to the audience

- Create dashboards and visualizations to track KPIs and monitor business performance

- Help shape data culture and best practices across the company

Nice to Have

- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Familiarity with dbt or other data modeling tools

- Exposure to business domains such as e-commerce, marketing analytics, or product analytics

- Basic knowledge of data engineering principles
