Job Title: Data Scientist (BI)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (2x or 3x office days)

Overview / Summary:

We are looking for a Data Scientist with solid experience in designing, implementing, and evolving BI solutions. The role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, analysis, and visualization, with a strong emphasis on Power BI and Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across the data stack and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Design, implement, and evolve Business Intelligence solutions;
  • Ingest, process, and analyze data from multiple data sources using BI tools, preferably Power BI;
  • Develop dashboards and reports that support business decision-making;
  • Perform data collection, transformation, and modeling to ensure data quality and consistency;
  • Test and validate data pipelines to ensure robustness, reliability, and data security;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional data teams, working across backend and frontend contexts;
  • Support continuous improvement of BI and reporting solutions;
  • Document solutions and contribute to best practices in data visualization and analytics.

Requirements

  • Mandatory Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • +2 years of experience in specifying, implementing, and maintaining Business Intelligence solutions;
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, especially Power BI;
  • Experience ingesting and analyzing data from diverse data sources;
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL;
  • Understanding of data collection, transformation, and visualization processes, from raw data to dashboards;
  • Experience testing and validating data pipelines to ensure data quality and security;
  • Fluency in Portuguese (mandatory), proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Complementary Requirements:
  • Certifications in Business Intelligence or data analytics technologies;
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary or data-focused teams;
  • Exposure to both backend and frontend data environments;
  • Knowledge or interest in AI-driven analytics solutions.
