  • Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable AWS‑based data architectures, with additional integration in Azure when needed.
  • Lead large‑scale data migration and optimization initiatives.
  • Build and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform.
  • Handle large‑volume datasets, including Iceberg, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage orchestration workflows using Airflow and AWS Step Functions.
  • Create PoCs and production‑ready prototypes to validate engineering standards.
  • Define and enforce data governance, security and quality best practices.
  • Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience with AWS data services (Azure exposure preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
  • Proven experience with large‑scale data migration and optimization.
  • Advanced skills in Python and SQL.
  • Hands‑on experience with Iceberg and large dataset management.
  • Solid experience with Airflow, Step Functions and ETL/ELT processes (Kafka a plus).
  • Ability to define engineering standards, governance and security practices.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
  • Knowledge of Azure Databricks is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • European Union Citizenship or Portuguese Working Visa / Portuguese Residency.
  • Availability to go to the office, twice per week.
