Data Science Intern
to join our team.
This position suits a person with a deep interest in statistics, machine learning and data analysis, aiming to apply this knowledge in a real-world business setting. This internship offers a stage to engage in developing predictive models and providing data-driven insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning, manipulating and analyzing large datasets
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms
- Collaborate with teams to understand business requirements and identify data analytics opportunities
- Visualize data insights using tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Prepare reports and communicate results to teams and management
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in data science and machine learning
- Requirements
- On-site presence in the Lisbon office is required once per week
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data mining techniques
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Nice to have
- Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark or Kafka
- Exposure to deep learning and neural networks
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
