What you’ll do

The purpose of this role is to plan and design the best IP/MPLS transport network for all Vodafone services.

• Key accountabilities:
• Plan and design IP/MPLS networks for high-capacity transport, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements and develop effective solutions including, but not limited to, mobile/fixed network aggregation, business services, and internet routing.
• Conduct network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate future growth and technology advancements - develop and manage deployment plans.
• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, protocols, and trends to provide proactive solutions.
• Who you are
• Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Mandatory spoken/written fluency in English.
• Cisco/Nokia certifications not mandatory but will be valued.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IP network engineering, specifically with IP/MPLS networks.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Cisco and Nokia networking equipment. Focus on high-end platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including ISIS, BGP, MPLS, QoS, MPLS/SR-TE, L2VPN/EVPN.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience collaborating in/with multi-country teams.
