Job Title: Technical Engineer

• Responsibilities:
• Solution Engineering Services
• Provide post-sales support for delivery, supervised by a senior Ciena engineer.
• Support service partners engineers during project deployment.
• Analyse Network Designs provided by Systems Engineers (SE) to ensure consistent Deployment and In-Service Upgrades of Ciena Equipment.
• Translate Network Designs into Solution Designs for New-Build, reconfiguration and Network Upgrade Projects.
• Gather and Analyse Customer Network Data to develop migration strategy.
• Review Technical Deployment Package details with Internal and External Resources.
• Key Skills:
• Basic knowledge of L0/L1 optical/transmission and/or Layer2-3 (IP protocols).
• Scripting/DevOps skills (e.g., Python, JAVA, Ansible, etc.).
• Excellent Customer Service interaction skills.
• Excellent English language written and verbal communications skills.
• Expert knowledge of MS Office applications (Visio, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Requirements:
• B.S. Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• No more than 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional groups.
• Ability to handle travel and night shifts.
