As a Network Architect inside the Engineering department, you will act as a Solution Architect for new products, services and technologies in Truphone, acting as a point of contact towards internal and external customers. Effectively work closely with Product and Marketing, but also with all different technical stakeholders and vendors, in shaping, designing, testing, and implementing new solutions. The Network Architect is responsible to lead the requirements analysis process, in close contact with all relevant stakeholders, to a refined and clear scope, allowing a solution to be created, documented and planned to be implemented. Requirements. Position Overview. The Network Architect is the person we trust in, and to whom we delegate the solution design authority of a given scope. The Network Architect works in conjunction with the Teams, Engineering Managers and stakeholders in order to produce solutions designs, that are fit to purpose, scalable and reliable. It requires creativity, technical knowledge, decision making, as well as strategic vision.Iterates with the customer (internal and external) and other stakeholders to determine the technical requirements, risks, technical impacts, and recommendationsDesign of new consumer and corporate telecom solutionsCollaborates with technical teams in defining reliable, modular, scalable, and- centric solutions, as well as planning and reviewing solutionsDesign and present solutions in documents and workshops. For the solution identifies the impacts, efforts and the resources neededMarket prospection of new solutions through elaboration and analysis of Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation processes and negotiation with potential suppliersFollow up of new technology trends in the Telecom industry and identifying interesting solutions for the product portfolioDefinition and follow up of company technological evolution roadmapsDocuments the existing technology portfolio and proposes recommendations for improvements and / or alternativesEnsure and control quality of documentation execution (HLD’s, LLD’s, WO’s, etc.)Ensure and control implementation quality. Understanding of End to End system testing requirementsEnsure the network is compliant with industry standards and regulationsCapacity and Performance Analysis, Reporting and Improvement Solution DefinitionWork on complex solutions that influence the design of current products and addresses design issues for future products or technologies. Enhance, simplify, and optimize existing applications and processesEvolves the engineering maturity to be on par with the- functional and functional--- artCommunicates transparently to the whole businessReaches out to other teams and works towards alignment and overall continuous improvementActs as a beacon of excellence and as an employee of reference, mentoring junior colleagues. QualificationsDegree in Telecom Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience+8 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks+3 years on telecom strategy roleExcellent understanding of Mobile Networks and its architecturesExperience with MVNO architecture(s) and landscape. Familiar with roaming environment, including its technical, commercial and regulatory aspectsSolid knowledge of networking principles & protocols, including securityExperience in network protocols like MAP, CAMEL, SIGTRAN, DIAMETER, SIPKnowledge and experience of OCS and Gy/Sy interfacesExperience with VoLTE and VoWiFiExperience with LTE, 5G, IMS, IP technologies and protocolsFamiliar with- based solutions and virtualization technologiesHigh Level Designs and Low Level Designs.
