To complement our rapid growth, we are actively sourcing for a Network Engineer to operate in a 24/7 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment maintaining IP Networking components in a production setting.In this role you will:Participate in projects for Network Operation improvementsReview and analyze history of network related incidents and perform preventive measuresTroubleshoot network related issues and communicate with customersAssist in managing network service providers and equipmentProvide capacity analysis and planningAssist customers and field personnel in network activations for customersKey ResponsibilitiesInitiate multiple projects for customers and Network Operation improvementsPartner closely with Network Architects and Engineers to improve WAN network connectivityPartner with internal business units to best understand the organization's needs and continuously improve and apply standards for operational excellenceReview, analyze and execute network change requestsInteract with external customers to ensure smooth network activations and to troubleshoot any network connectivity related issuesImplement complex changes into the environment under the change control process and maintenance windows.Participate in a limited- call rotation scheduleRequirements:3-5 years of experience in Medium to large networks, IP Routing, Switching, and Security principles.Demonstrate knowledge of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and how they interact with the networkDemonstrate knowledge of- time traffic queuing and prioritizing on LAN and WAN networks.Demonstrated operational success with an exceptionally strong- driven analytical approach towards solving complex challengesExperience with implementations of solutions involving large data centers,- business routing plans, site2site IPSEC VPNs, FWs and MPLS VPNs.Hands-on skills for Cisco IOS-XE is required and Cisco IOS-XR and Nexus OS preferred, connect lab equipment, proof of concept; Documenting solutions with diagrams and proper description is requiredExperience with incident response, information assurance, system hardening, vulnerability management, and techniques for analyzing TCP/IP network traffic and event logsKnowledge and experience in Cisco Nexus 7k, ASR 1000 and 9000 Routers, SSL-VPN.Excellent communications, both oral and writtenPreferred Qualifications:Telecommunications experience - VoIP, RTP, SIP peering/trunking and SBC is a huge plusKnowledge of Linux network functions; SaaS/Cloud-based software environment a plusKnowledge on AWS and GCP Cloud platforms.
