About This Role
This position involves providing post-sales support for delivery as a technical role for an early in career engineer (maximum 2 years of experience). You will be working closely with Systems Engineers, Service Project Managers, Technical Support, Field Service Engineers and Customer Service Advocate on a day-to-day basis. Basic knowledge of L0/L1 optical/transmission and/or Layer2-3 (IP protocols) and/or scripting/DevOps skills are required.

Responsibilities
- Support service partners engineers during project deployment
- Analyze the Network Designs provided by the SE to ensure consistent Deployment and In-Service Upgrades of Ciena Equipment allowing for high quality and cost efficient service
- Translate Network Designs into Solution Design for New-Build, reconfiguration and Network Upgrade Projects
- Gather and analyze Customer Network Data and develop migration strategy for successful transition onto the Ciena platform
- Review Technical Deployment Package details with Internal and External Resources to ensure understanding by all members of the Deployment Team
- Serve as escalation point for issues/problems related to Technical Deployment Package contents
- Responsible for archiving As-Built Documentation Sets for future network upgrade support
- Provide Off-Site Maintenance Window and Escalation Support to Field Forces during In-Service Network Upgrades
