The Role

• We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Lisbon. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, operation, reporting, and continuous improvement of remote access solutions using managed service providers. Your primary tasks will include:
• Coordinate the operation, installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of remote access equipment using 3rd party implementation staff.
• Ensure compliance of network infrastructure to global standards.
• Ensure that service and operations level agreements are met. Responsible for third/fourth line incident support.
• Work closely with our L1-L3 Managed Service Providers and ensure the service meets business requirements.
• Develop and report useful metrics to judge platform and provider performance.

You will also be expected to interact with other peer technology teams as needed and work with global teams to investigate and evaluate new network technologies. Experience in other enterprise-level operations (LAN, WLAN, DNS, Security, etc.) is a plus.
Requirements

• To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or equivalent working knowledge.
• Technical skills including VPN design, routing, and switching or proven equivalent knowledge. Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 routing and switching, preferably Cisco Networks.
• Working knowledge of firewall routing configurations desired. Direct knowledge of Palo Alto and experience in Prisma cloud product are huge pluses.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with autonomous and proactive working behavior.

In addition, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language. Collaboration and teamwork abilities are also essential, as well as flexibility towards working hours to accommodate time zone issues.
