As a Network Support Engineer, you will provide top-level technical support for Cisco Data Center products to customers, partners, and other teams via phone, email, and WebEx. You will apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to troubleshoot and debug product and network problems of moderate to high complexity.
The role involves collaborating with cross-technology teams to tackle issues in heterogeneous network environments and serving as a trusted technical authority to worldwide customers and partners.
You will work with experts in the industry of compute, virtualization, storage, and networking markets, focusing on learning, installing, and resolving complex situations.
- The Technical Services team ensures product and network operations are efficient, and you will learn from the best to become the best.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven technical knowledge in:
- Networking (CCNA level equivalent or above)
- Network programmability (DevNet Associate level or above)
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting blades and rack servers
- UCS Manager, UCS-B, and C servers, UCS Central
- Storage solutions (SAN, NAS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS, PXE)
- Operative systems, virtualization, and hypervisors (Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat, SUSE, or VMware)
- Complementary skills in any of these technologies:
- TACACS, RADIUS, LDAP
- CPU, DIMM, BMC, IPMI, QPI, PCIe
- Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python, Linux, API
- We appreciate certifications like:
- Cisco Expert-level certifications (CCNP/CCIE Data Center)
- Red Hat Certified (RHCSA)
- VmWare Certified (VCP)
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
- SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA)
