Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned network professional to join our team and contribute to the success of one of our key projects in Lisbon.

Location:
Hybrid – Lisbon, Portugal

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and be able to design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPN solutions. They will also be responsible for monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security and compliance with corporate standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPN solutions
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure network security and compliance with corporate standards
  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Work with cloud and premise network systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to ensure efficient network operations
  • Manage routing, switching, and load balancing configurations
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering
  • Strong experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper environments
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and firewall management
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Solar Winds, Nagios)
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of IT security policies, VPNs, and remote access protocols
  • Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python scripting is a plus)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE are a strong plus
  • Fluent in English (B2 minimum). Portuguese is a plus
