Job purpose
The Product Owner for the On-Premise Network Foundation (Network for all Data Center worldwide) is responsible for managing the product backlog and prioritizing value-based deliverables for the squad, a cross-functional agile team.
This role involves creating and approving User Stories that align with the overall product vision.
The Product Owner will closely collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure the product vision is effectively communicated and executed. Additionally, the Product Owner serves as a functional referent for the squad, facilitating Agile methodologies to drive the team’s performance and delivery.
Main missions
- As Product Owner, you will:
- Support the Product Manager in managing user and customer requirements.
- Take responsibility for backlog management and prioritization to ensure timely delivery of valuable features.
- Define functional specifications in alignment with stakeholder requirements. Provide functional direction and guidance to the delivery team to facilitate effective execution of the product vision.
The position holder must be a highly motivated self-starter, well organized able to work independently, and identify needs within the organization and address them as needed
Expected skills & experience
We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:
- Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of Product management
- Experience in working in Global team
- Experience in Lean and Agile Management
- Technologies: General knowledge of Network technologies. Focus on ACI and NSX-T is a surplus
- Technical skills
- Support the creation of the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs.
- Assist in evaluating business value and benefits.
- Write clear and concise backlog items, set priorities, and measure the achievement of benefits.
- Collaborate closely with the delivery team to define necessary deliverables.
- Communicate and engage with relevant stakeholders.
- Accept or refuse product increments in alignment with the Product Manager.
- Encourage team members to actively contribute to the content of each iteration.
- Proactively contribute to the development of the product vision and roadmap, driving the assessment of business value and benefits while challenging the team when necessary.
- Optimize the use of the backlog, leading prioritization efforts and measuring results effectively.
- Guide the delivery team in defining deliverables and empower team members to excel in their roles.
- Soft skills / transversal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Team motivator and builder. Giving strategic directions to the team and being able to implement and execute.
