Our client is looking for a Network Administrator to join their offices in Oeiras, Portugal. You will work as a member of the IT Team, reporting to the Network & Workspace Team Leader. Responsibilities : Installs and configures networks and systems and VPN. Identifies and solves any problems that arise with networks and systems. Consults with CTO to specify system requirements and design solutions. Prepares budgets for equipment and assembly costs. Assembles new systems. Maintains existing software and hardware and upgrades any that have become obsolete. Monitors networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved. Provides network administration and support. Fully supports, configures, maintains and upgrades corporate customer’s networks and in house servers. Keeps an eye out for needed updates. Ensures network security and connectivity. Monitors network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses. Sets up user accounts, permissions and passwords. Resolves problems reported by end user. Defines network policies and procedures. Specifies system requirements and design solutions. Researches and make recommendations on server system administration. Writes scripts to automated recurring task. Maintains system integrity. Requirements : Good command of English. Proven experience in a network administrator role (min. 3 years). Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching. Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure. Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired. Ability to set up and configure server hardware. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies. Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
