NOVAK AUTONOMOUS NETWORK - CNF DEPLOYMENT ENGINEER (REMOTE) — role at iTRecruiter.

  • Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage CNFs on Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) clusters.
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of CNF applications through Kubernetes features (e.g., HPA, Cluster Autoscaler, Load Balancers).
  • Optimize deployments for performance and resource utilization, including defining requests/limits and configuring autoscaling strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain CNF deployments using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and pre-production environments, including networking, storage, load balancing, and security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement security best practices, including secrets management, RBAC, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Manage SSL certificates (generation, renewal, troubleshooting) for secure communications.
  • Configure and manage OpenShift Routes, Kubernetes Ingress controllers, and related networking components.
  • Document deployment processes, create troubleshooting guides, and share best practices.
  • Act as a proactive problem solver, able to work independently and take ownership of challenges.

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for CNF deployment automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent).
  • Automate deployment processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts or Kustomize templates for streamlined deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to improve processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Qualifications / Must Be Clearly Listed On Your CV
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP).
  • Proficiency in Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
  • Knowledge of NFV and cloud-native design principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Helm and Kubernetes deployment tools.
  • Experience in package management (image/chart repositories such as Nexus, Harbor).
  • Experience managing SSL certificates, Ingress controllers, and OpenShift Routes.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking (CNI), service meshes, and related technologies (Istio, Calico).
  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes Operators, CRDs, RBAC, and security features.
  • Solid understanding of networking (VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).
  • Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or equivalent.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in production-grade environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Telco CNF deployments in production.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift Operators and advanced OCP features.
  • Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or Red Hat OpenShift Specialist.
