BZ GIS Consulting provides Network Design, Construction & Services across all utilities, including telecom, fiber, power, water, wastewater, gas, and data networks. We deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions and work with clients on complex, multi-utility projects.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Fiber Network Designer based in Portugal to work remotely on a freelance or contract basis. You will design and optimize fiber optic networks, collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver high-performance, reliable, and compliant network designs.
- Responsibilities
- Design fiber optic network layouts for telecom and utility projects
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies
- Prepare design documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Support project execution, including installation and commissioning
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet technical and regulatory standards
- Requirements
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in fiber network design
- Proficiency in network design software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.)
- Knowledge of telecom and utility standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work remotely and manage freelance/contract projects
