Solution Architect (OSS / Telco) - B2B (12 month)

Location: Lisbon

Work model: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

We are working with a leading technology partner delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes within the telecommunications sector. They support major international organisations in designing and implementing complex, mission-critical systems.

We are currently looking for experienced Solution Architects to join a high-impact Telco programme.

The Role:

As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and evolving end-to-end solutions that address complex business and technical challenges. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that architectures are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

  • What you’ll be doing:
  • Design system architectures that meet business needs, acting as a bridge between business/functional and technical teams.
  • Assess existing system architectures and recommend improvements.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to technical architects and development teams.
  • Research current and emerging architectural patterns and propose changes where needed.
  • Describe architecture structure, behaviour, and characteristics to different stakeholders.
  • Assess the impact of solution choices on overall business goals.
  • Ensure new systems/components integrate correctly within the enterprise environment.
  • Promote and ensure adoption of architecture standards and methodologies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Technical & Domain Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Telco business models and processes.
  • Solid understanding of E2E solutions and OSS within enterprise architecture.
  • Knowledge of network domains: RAN, Mobile Core, Transport, IP Core, and service platforms (TV, SIP).
  • In-depth experience with OSS solutions (Assurance, Configuration, Planning, Readiness).
  • Knowledge of OSS and Automation Architectures.
  • Background in Microservices and Automation Platforms.
  • Experience in solution engineering and software architecture design.
  • Proven experience in complex and large-scale projects.
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and learning new domains.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus.
