Work Objectives
One research position is open for a Ph.D. holder within the scope of the ALBATROZ project, focusing on research, proof-of-concept development, and evaluation of innovative solutions for next-generation mobile communications infrastructures (5G+/6G), with particular emphasis on the RAN segment.

Place of Work
The workplace shall be at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Polo de Aveiro, Campus Universitário de Santiago, 3810-193 Aveiro.

Duration
A term contract, with a termination date undetermined

Monthly Salary
Basic monthly salary: the basic monthly salary corresponds to level 195 of the TRU (€ 3.576,56).

Admission Requirements
Ph.D. degree completed in electrical engineering (or equivalent), with relevant professional or academic experience in Radio Access Networks, physical layer of communication systems, software defined radios, microcontroller-based systems, FPGA/SoC-based hardware implementation, VHDL/Verilog modelling, C, C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink programming. A proven background in laboratory measurements and circuit prototyping is required. The following Scopus performance indicators are mandatory and must be demonstrated in the application: at least 15 indexed publications, at least 50 citations, and an h-index of at least 5. The applicants, nationals of countries outside the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries, must present proof of a minimum level of fluency in Portuguese, written and oral, at B1 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
