As a NetSecOps Automation Specialist at Ivy Partners, you will:
- Translate existing manual network and security configurations into automated Ansible playbooks and Python scripts
- Develop and maintain automation workflows across a multi-vendor environment (Fortinet, Arista, and others) using Ansible and AAP
- Operate autonomously on network tasks: designing, testing, and validating automation outputs without dependency on a separate network engineer
- Contribute to the team's VLAB automation framework, integrating new use cases and scaling existing ones
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate code development
- Participate in the integration and development of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server capabilities within the infrastructure
- Manage version control and testing pipelines via GitLab
- Collaborate with operations, systems, and security teams based in Porto
About You
You are our ideal candidate if you:
- Are a senior-level network and/or security engineer with hands-on experience with physical infrastructure, routing, switching, and firewall management (Fortinet strongly valued), Arista
- Have demonstrated the ability to automate network infrastructure using Ansible and Python: translating manual configurations into code
- Have experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) is a plus; core Ansible proficiency is mandatory
- Possess practical knowledge of FortiGate (FortiOS CLI, REST API) and/or Checkpoint (SmartCenter API, Cpshell)
- Are familiar with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Have exposure to MCP servers and AI-assisted development tooling (GitHub Copilot or equivalent) is a strong differentiator
- Understand that cloud-only automation profiles (AWS/Azure without physical network background) will not meet requirements
