The Role of UX Expert

The UX Expert at T UX is a key driver for user experience innovations across all business areas and belongs to the whole Human-centered design process.

• This position is embedded in different research activities and in a lot of challenging UX consulting projects inside the company.
• Responsibilities:
• You will help to define digital offerings for our clients in all Siemens Business units worldwide.
• You will drive UX innovation with your expertise and integrate it into customer projects in an efficient way and become part of the UX transformation at Siemens.
• You will participate and lead projects with Siemens businesses, including research & development as well as technical consulting in the broader field of UX.
• You will build up a Siemens-internal network to acquire projects that convert research results into business impact and maintain relationships with the business units within Siemens.
• You will fill in a key role in UX & IOT projects.
• You will maintain projects with key universities and institutes to expand the technology portfolio and jointly pursue public funding opportunities.
• Requirements

• We are looking for someone with:
• Requirements:
• You are an experienced UX professional with a background in digital design and human-centered design, ideally added with research skills and have a bachelor's degree or higher in design (e.g., Product, Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, etc.) or related field.
• You have at least 5 years of proven experience as a UX Designer and UI Designer.
• You should also have first leading experiences, and the ability to break down complex work tasks into manageable work units.
• You need a strong portfolio of work demonstrating design skills to conceptualize interaction flows, and building wireframes, user interface mockups and prototypes that show your deep understanding of the user-centered design process in practice.
• You need to use industry standard design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma) and leverage design systems at an intermediate level, ideally higher.
• You should be able to build up design systems and manage on a larger scale in the near future.
• You need proven experience with designing for the web (e.g., responsive design, feasibility of designs with implementation in web), ideally you bring in experiences with e-business applications and you should be familiar with the specifics of Industrial UX as well.
• You should be able to work with cross-functional and international teams – also remote, leading design sprints and workshops is part of your daily business.
• You should have fluently English and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• BASIC German skills or any other European language would be an advantage.
• The position needs a trustful and reliable nature with strong organizational skills, hands-on mentality, and solution-oriented is needed.
• You should have deep skills in analytical thinking and problem-solving, and of course the passion for emerging technologies and hunger to innovate.
• Team leader experience would be welcome but not necessary.
