Lead User Experience Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled User Experience (UX) designer to join our team and shape the future of bioprocess automation software.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how design choices impact implementation complexity, especially in complex scientific applications used by biotechnologists, biologists, chemists, and data scientists.

This role involves designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces for software applications used in lab process digitalization and automation. You will collaborate closely with domain experts to understand workflows, needs, and pain points.

• The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of an industrial design system that supports scalable and consistent UI patterns across applications.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Translate complex user requirements into intuitive information architectures, wireframes, prototypes, and workflows.
• Design high-fidelity UI mockups that align with usability standards and visual consistency.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to ensure designs are feasible and efficiently implementable.
• Conduct UX research (interviews, shadowing, surveys) and interaction design for software applications used in lab process digitalization and automation.
• Document and maintain a design system that supports scalable and consistent UI patterns across applications.
• Requirements:
• A degree in graphical design, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science, life sciences, engineering or a similar education.
• 3+ years of experience designing UI UX for technical, scientific, or industrial software.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and usability requirements relevant to medical/lab software.
• Knowledge of tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, MS Office.
• A background or strong interest in life sciences, biotech, or lab instrumentation domains.
